Creative Direction | Branding
Rebranding for a local restaurant in Ansião, Portugal. The name "Tarouca" derives from the slang "Taralhouco", which means fool/dizzy in portuguese, we used this as our starting point to create the graphic language and concept, using the circle around the "O" pointing out the foolishness of the name. We then created a mix of things that souldn't go together but do, like the two contrasting fonts, the spray with the classical images in bitmap, like day and night.

The concept was also created around the differences between Day and Night, how during the day the restaurant attended by younger people and people looking for a fast bite of good burgers and a fun and light environment, while during the night there is a space for getting together around a warm fire, drinking wine or cocktails and enjoying some tapas and finger foods.
